Bird flu in China: Beijing reported the first case

A seven year old girl hit by virus H7N9 "Bird Flu" is being treated at a hospital in Beijing.

His parents a poultry trader, on the last Thursday's child has a fever, sore throat and headache. Until now his condition is stable.

Two people who had close contact with the children participating quarantined for further observation, but fortunately so far not a positive sign.

The UN has recorded 28 cases and nine deaths in China on Wednesday.

No cases were reported in foreign countries, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

China's national disease control center confirmed on Saturday that the girl was sick in Beijing menglami because H7N9 virus.

According to WHO's first case of the virus reported in February, in eastern China, there is no evidence that the H7N9 virus is being transmitted by certain people, and most of the cases originate in poultry.

International health experts have praised China on transparency in reporting the spread of the virus, in contrast to the handling of the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in 2003, when 8096 people are infected worldwide and led to 744 dead.
