Stabbing At Mass action in the U.S. Church, 4 People Injured

New Mexico - the stabbing incident occurred at a church in the city of Albuquerque, the state of New Mexico, United States (U.S.). Reported at least four people were injured in the incident, which occurred when the Mass was in progress.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times, Monday (04/29/2013), when the mass took place, one of the congregation jumped from the chair and stabbing members of the choir. The incident occurred in the Catholic Church St. Jude Thaddeus on Sunday (28/4) local time, when the team was performing choir.

Two of the church said, the sex offender and a man aged around 20 years. This incident had caused panic in the church that is in the church.

"When the incident happened, people panic. Was horrible, you would never think that something like that happens in the church," said one of the church members, Reyes Stinson (18).

A congregation, Vanessa Lucero (14) which sits behind the actor said that the perpetrator was visibly nervous while in the church. According to him, the perpetrator has an inverted star-shaped tattoo on his wrist.

Lucero said, the actors stood on a chair and then jump towards the church choir and choir leader punched, then stabbed him repeatedly. "He yelled, 'Reverend false!' I do not know why, "he said.

The congregation immediately tried to secure the offender. Struggle had occurred, some other church stab wounds exposed when this struggle. Having successfully secured, the perpetrator was taken by the local police.

Stinson added, choir leader suffered stab wounds to the left arm. Robe he wore was torn due to the puncture. Local police said that the injuries suffered by a number of churches are not so severe.

In a statement, police Albuquerque ensure the perpetrators are still in detention. A number of the congregation who had seen the face of the perpetrator, claimed to have never seen it before. Perpetrators identified as Lawrence Capener (24).

"It is confirmed that the perpetrators are not members of the church congregation. Motive stabbing is not known with certainty," said Albuquerque Police Department spokeswoman, Tasia Martinez.
