For his actions, the man named Nathan Pick sentenced to 7 years in prison by a court Nottingham Crown Court. Similarly, as reported by the British media, the Daily Mail, Saturday (05/11/2013).
In a trial that was held Friday, May 10 local time, 38-year-old man was admitted to upset the baby, James-Lee for crying loud in their home in the town of Chaddesden, Derbyshire. In the incident that occurred on May 7, 2012, the Pick of hitting the back of the baby's head with the heart defect.
The baby born with heart defects and conditions must be fitted with a hose through his nose. As a result of his father's wallop on the back of his head, that poor baby suffered brain injury. He died the next day in the hospital.
Pick was arrested on charges of murder. Initially, the man admitted to police that his son was raging and banging his head into his rocking chair. But ultimately Pick admit, he has been out of control because it was unable to calm the baby constantly crying. Time of the incident, his wife had gone shopping to a nearby store.
"He (Pick) very sorry for this. He did not want this to happen to other people," said solicitor Pick, Shaun Smith at trial.
In the trial it was revealed, James-Lee to be treated for three months in the hospital after being born with a heart defect condition in October 2011. She needs treatment and care every day.
When the reading of the verdict, Judge Julian Flaux said, Pick actually did not intend to kill his son. It said Judge Flaux, Pick frustrated and upset because her baby would not stop crying while he was trying to calm her down.
"Stress makes you hit. You do not intend to kill her or cause her serious injury, but now you know that it is a blow against the law," said Judge Flaux.
