Radical cleric Abu Qatada deportation has not been successful

UK Home Secretary Theresa May lost an appeal against a court ruling preventing the deportation of radical cleric Abu Qatada.

Minister an appeal after the Special Commission of Immigration Appeals stated that the radical cleric can not be deported to Jordan.

According to the judges, Qatada could face the possibility of an unfair trial that involves the acquisition of evidence through the persecution of others.

Interior Ministry declared plans to appeal further.

"This is not the end of everything. Government remains determined to deport Abu Qatada," a spokesman for MOHA.

"For now, we continue to work closely with the Jordanian government in dealing with the legal issues that prevent the deportation," he added.

The appeals court decision means that Abu Qatada would be released two weeks after his arrest again.

Abu Qatada re-arrest this month following allegations that preachers violated one of the conditions of his release, relating to the use of communications equipment in his home.

London Police said the arrest was related to the investigation of internet content that is extremist.
