Tornado in Oklahoma, Kills Dozens of People

Oklahoma, - Deaths increase due to tornadoes that hit Oklahoma City suburb, USA. So far, at least 51 people were reported killed by natural disasters.

The current emergency workers continued to comb the houses and elementary school which was destroyed by a tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. They continue to find survivors who might still be falling rubble.

Tornado that struck on Monday, May 20 local time is smashed homes and at least two schools. The tornado was so powerful. More than 120 people including dozens of children, were injured in the incident.

"We experienced a devastating tornado, severe tornado that just passed in this community," said Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin at the press conference, as reported by news agency AFP on Tuesday (21/05/2013).

"We know there are many injured. We know we've lost a lot of buildings throughout the community and state," he added.

In local television, KFOR-TV looks, school children being pulled out of rubble Plaza Towers Elementary in Moore, which inhabited the area about 55 thousand inhabitants. Moore is located just south of the state capital of Oklahoma.

Rescue workers continued to search for survivors. According to KFOR, as many as 24 children allegedly trapped ruins of school buildings. At least seven children have been found dead at the school.

second elementary school, Briarwood, also did not escape from this vicious tornado attack. But apparently no casualties in the incident.

Police have called on residents to stay away from the location of the ruins. While the search and rescue operation continues.
