Obama Call Putin Violating International Law for Military Invasion of Russia to Ukraine

U.S. President Barack Obama told Russian President Vladimir Putin, that the country he leads has violated international law that can lead to political isolation.

The talk on the phone for 90 minutes between the two leaders - be referred to as the direct confrontation between the White House and the Kremlin since the Cold War - occurred after Putin Russian Parliament gave permission to send troops to Ukraine.

As reported by AFP on Sunday (02/03/2014), the Russian reaction Ukraine immediately responded by placing his troops on vital points as a way to avoid a war that would damage relations between the two countries forever. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) had an emergency meeting with 28 ambassadors in Brussels, Belgium to discuss the military offensive.

According to the Interfax news agency, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andriy Deshchytsya say, Kiev has appealed to NATO with a request to consider all options to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

While British Foreign Secretary William Hague said, ahead of a visit to Kiev on Sunday, he had met with the Russian ambassador to express concern over a potentially serious threat to the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
